The Story of Flora Supermarkets
The story of Flora began in 1970 when Mykonians Giannis and Flora Kontaratos started a small food and beverage business. At that time, they could not have imagined that their modest store would evolve into a full supermarket about 20 years later. From the very beginning, locals embraced the Flora supermarket that opened in 1989 in the Mykonos Airport area. This support led to the expansion with two additional branches: one in Vothonas and another in Ano Mera.
Today, more than 50 years later, Flora Supermarkets are an integral part of Mykonos's history and a leading supplier to restaurants, bars, and hotels on the island. The new generation of the Kontaratos family continues to uphold the values of quality, variety, and impeccable service, striving for perfection and absolute customer satisfaction.
