10 premium malt whiskies you’ll find at Flora
Malt whisky is the distilled product derived from brewing malted barley with spring water, which is usually located next to the distillery. This first distillation is then either blended with other malts (creating the well-known blended whisky) or bottled as is.
The taste and aromas of each malt depend on factors such as the quality of the barley, the unique characteristics of the water, and the size and shape of the distillation still. The distillate is then placed in oak barrels to mature and age for a minimum of 3 years, with a maximum of 50. We recommend 10 malt whisky labels that you can find in our stores, at Cava Flora 84600.

Glenmorangie 18 Year Old
One of the top single malt whiskies on the market. It is no coincidence that it is consistently awarded in international competitions and appeals to whisky connoisseurs with refined taste. Made from 100% Scottish barley and water from the proprietary ancient Tarlogie spring. It is distilled in the tallest stills in Scotland, for which the Glenmorangie distillery is renowned. It then matures for 15 years in new American oak barrels.
At that point, a portion of the distillate is transferred to Sherry casks for an extra 3 years of finishing, before being blended with the rest at the end of the 18-year period.

Highland Park 18 Year Old
The 18 Year Old Viking Pride is the most awarded single malt whisky from the Highland Park distillery, having received both a Gold Award and the title of Ultimate Recommendation (with a score of 96) at the International Spirits Challenge 2021.
Aged primarily in first fill European sherry as well as American oak casks, this superb 18-year-old single malt pays tribute to the 5 cornerstones of the distillery’s production and presents a refined blend of ripe cherries dusted with bittersweet cocoa, freshly cut honeycomb, and candied orange peel. There is a note of the characteristic sea breeze of the Orkney region in the aromatic peaty smoke. This multi-awarded whisky has been produced at the Highland Park distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, since 1798. Age, experience, and respect for tradition may define their whisky, but it is the Orkney region itself that makes it special. Something magical happens there, and the result is the wild harmony of flavors contained within a single bottle.
